LACBC exists to make disciples, care for our City, and reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus.
We make disciples by equipping God's people to build up the Body of Christ and proclaim the Gospel. We care for our City of Los Angeles by meeting needs and changing lives. And we reach the world by obeying the Great Commission both as a local church and through global partnerships.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, for the glory of God alone.
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God, and as the basis of all our beliefs and practices.
We accept as guidance the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000.

OUR STORY
The story of LACBC goes back almost a 100 years ago. In the 1930's, a small Hispanic church started in the Los Angeles Area. Through the years, the church became an influential, historic Hispanic Baptist church in the LA area, eventually acquiring the name, Los Angeles City Baptist Church. Through much of this time, Pastor Jorge Moran served as the senior pastor for more than 40+ years. After he went home to be with the Lord, the church went through a difficult transition for about 7 years, and eventually needed revitalization...

CHURCH COVENANT
The local church is a community of believers in Jesus, united in covenant membership, regularly gathering for corporate worship, for Gospel proclamation, and for the ordinances of Jesus. Therefore, LA City Baptist Church members covenant with one another, keep one another accountable in our process of repentance from sin, and practice the grace of God together.

Our church is located in the neighborhood of Boyle Heights. And you can find us hanging out, praising God, eating together, and serving our neighbors in LA together.
